1. Don’t drastically mark it up
2. Don’t do this:

(edit: those are CA $$ ? if so that’s about right for Prop12? American dinero below )
Not a fan of the Prop12, still have most of the bottle. I give it to MMA fans when they come over, which explains why the bottle is still almost full. (I just looked and it’s $23 around the corner)
That rare cask is $299 by me. Prices have been all over since the US tariffs and pandemic. I see RedBreast 21 for $399 in a lot of places (It was $185 in duty free last time I was in Dublin), but then found it online for $235 with free shipping!
I also picked up Macallan Edition 5 last week, will likely try tonight or tomorrow. I’ve heard very good things.

That kinda makes me want to buy it more than I did previously.

Interesting placeholder image. Not as classic as some other bloopers where temporary text/images were left in a game or program.

We pay for the celebrity endorsement.
The R are C ask is priced about right for us . If ever I want to check for deep gouging a check on a UK site will give me a quick answer. I just double the value and replace the £ with CDN.
I tried the Macallan 5 around Christmas. It was the first Macallan I’ve had so my opinion should be taken with a very large grain of salt. It was good. Many of the flavors were close together and it was delicate over all. It being my first, I was interested in tasting the Macallan sulfur. Couldn’t find it.

I haven’t had any of the Macallan ‘ Editions’ yet so I’m curious, will let you know. The price was right, and I’ve assembled a core group of local tasters for bi-weekly Zoom tastings. I fill a few 1oz or 2oz bottles of selected whisky/whiskey each week and drop them off , and then we schedule an online tasting. Has worked well during the pandemic, and basically allows everyone to taste the occasional high-end bottle, and I don’t have to buy a whole bottle for myself . Sometimes we’ll just split a whole bottle four ways. Win/win/win!

This is awesome. Last year in line at our ann ual release I connected with a few folks but when I contacted them later they’d lost interest. :-(x

Truth in advertising
Relevant?
Wouldn't mind a snort of that myself.

I’ve never heard anything good about it.

I’ve not had it, but take it as run-of-the-mill.

I’ve read several reviews that are less than good. For the price, I’ll just buy one of the Jameson offshoots or a non-celebrity irish whiskey.
